What I collect, and why
When you send a message through the contact form: your name, email address, the message and the type of request. If you choose to, also a budget and how you heard about northstage. I use this only to answer you. You tick a consent box before you send.
When you book a video call: your name, email address, the time you picked, the video platform, an optional note and your consent. I use this to put the call in my calendar, create the meeting link and send you the invitation. Transcribing the call is a separate choice. It only happens if you tick it, and the transcript is stored with the booking.
When you only read the site: visits are counted with Umami (EU region). It sets no cookies for this and does not follow you to other sites. One small cookie, ns_lang, remembers the language you picked for a year. It holds only the language code.
When you write on WhatsApp: your phone number, your WhatsApp profile name and the messages you send. I use them only to answer you, and I keep the conversation as long as it is useful for the work and delete it when you ask. WhatsApp is run by Meta, which handles the messages on its own servers under its own terms. The link on this site only opens WhatsApp: nothing is sent to Meta from here before you click it and send a message.
Against spam: the booking form keeps a one-way hash of your IP address, never the address itself, to limit repeated bookings. Old entries are deleted every day.
Who sees it
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site and the booking service.
- Google Calendar, and the video platform you choose (Google Meet or Zoom), to create the event and the meeting link.
- My own working tools, Notion for the booking record and Chatwoot for the inbox, to keep track of your request and reply to you.
- WhatsApp (Meta), if you write to me there, and Chatwoot, where the conversation is kept next to my email.
- Umami, for the visit counts.
I do not sell data, show ads or share it with anyone else.
Google Calendar
The booking service connects to my own Google Calendar to see when I am busy, offer you free times and create the event with the invitation. It uses this Google data only for that, not for advertising, and shares it with no one.
How long I keep it
Name, email address and note of a booking, and the content of a message, are deleted 90 days after the call or the message. What stays is the date, the platform and the status of the booking, without personal details, so that I can count bookings. If we work together, I keep what the work needs, as in any business relationship.
Your rights
Under Swiss data protection law and the GDPR you can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct or delete it, or withdraw your consent. Use the contact form. I answer promptly and within a month at the latest. You can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.
